Light Flashlight Lamp
is there a flash,lamp or light attachment that might fit my panasonic?
i have a mini dv palmcorder and i was doing some looking, the model number is PV-DC252D.
I'm mostly looking for anything that can fit on it. mostly for low lighting situations and i really don't want to hold a flashlight anymore.
The accessory shoe on the top of that camcorder is standard - regular - sized. The easiest would be to just get a video light. Sima, Bescor, and mony others make them. The low-end ones that are rechargeable can provide lighting around 10-20 minutes before they need to be recharged. Getting a couple of them can work... There are a few that use AA or AAA batteries, so you need to carry spare batteries.
If that is not enough time for you - or if you don't want to carry extra batteries - or if they aren't bright enough, I use a Dot Line DL-DV60 Video & DSLR LED Light (bhphotovideo). The rechargeable battery that comes with it gives it about 45 minutes of life. It is the same battery that is used by prosumer and pro-grade Sony camcorders, so getting spares is easy... It is more money than the Simas and other consumer-grade video lights but it works well.
