does post natal depresion ever end?
my girlfriend has really bad post natal depresion, she had it after our 1st child (who is now 2) and it never got any better but we had a 2nd child 4 months ago and now she is fecking crazy 24/7, i really want toh be a suportive partner but she does nothing for herself, i work self employed so i can be there when she has a BAD day, which is all the time right now, she has got pills from the doctor but they dont help much, i would have left her already if it wasnt for the kids, but if i dont help out then they would grow up in filth and probably starve.
is there light at the end of the tunnel, can people with major depresion ever get well again? i really miss the girl i fell in love with and i still get to see a bit of her in there when she has a good day
this is a very hard situation for all you. There is light at the end of the tunnel, I had very post natal depression with my second and it did take a while, 2 years in fact. luckily i was only on medication for 9 months. Doctor seemed to get the right combination first try.
I think she should go back to the doctor and maybe have a chat the tablets are not working too well.
there are many types of antidepressants, different ones suit different people.
has she been offered counselling?? there was a local group for me to go to once a week and have a chat. Just really helped knowing I was not on own.
My heart really goes out to you and your family... I do truly believe there is light at the end of this tunnel.

Oil prices drop in line with equities
