2001 Impala Won't Start - Security/Battery Light Flashes?
I have a 2001 Chevrolet Impala, and for the past couple weeks, my car would not start when I turn the ignition. I would get full power for the stereo, lights etc... But, the Security and Battery light take turns flashing on the dashboard, in addition to the check engine light staying lit. After 10-15 minutes of trying to turn on the car and re-opening and closing/locking the door, the car will start and I'll have no problems and no flashing messages. I searched around on other message boards, as well as checked with a Chevy dealership and they seem to think it's the "pass-block sensor", and that it could cost $400 to replace and program the new one. However, I've experienced the downside of paying for costly repairs that don't fix the problem, any suggestions?

there is a tsb on this make some noise at your dealer and give them the tsb #s and say fix it
if they dont. write the company and complain two times a week or more and they will respond. call and tell them about the tsbs and you want it fixed now.
