my new poem "Man In the Trees" hope u like it?
Same window
new view
tonight I see a man in the trees
sitting over the telephone wires
flashlight in hand
pointed at my window
illuminating a small portion
of my cluttered pitch black room
first my pupils move the beams of light
across the cover creases
and my snoring sister becomes a blur
then the light fades
and I notice all the smudges on my window
why are they there?
I know how to remove them
Windex
a rag
the job’s simple
why not do it?
don’t have time?
too lazy?
doesn’t matter?
“You know the answer to all these questions”,
says the man in the trees
who's there tonight to show me how distorted my view is!
I like poetry. It describes so many things beyond the mind that make you think.
