How to make/power custom LED?
I am currently trying to make a custom LED kit for a project i am doing.
I have 2 superbright led

I want to power these led's with a C-battery which is 1.5 volts, I have tested the LED and the led is super dim, I doubled the battery power to 3 volts and still no dramatic increase.
Did I destroy the LED or do i need more power?
If i need more power would it make more sense to run 4 batteries or try to make/find a power plugin to run my led's?
A typical LED drops ~ 1.7 Volts when it's forward biased, so it's no surprise that it was "super dim" when you had one battery hooked up to it.
"Superbrite" LED's have a very tightly focused beam projecting (usually) out the end of them. Make sure you are checking the light output from all sides.
High current is very destructive, so current limitting resistors should always be used. Most diodes operate at .01 amps, so the current in the circuit should be limited to that if you dont want to overdrive (and thereby overheat/damage) your LED's.
