Party Rope Lights
wierd dream?
I remember when I was little having this dream where I went to a party type thing where I invited a bunch of people. We were all sitting at a huge table. Then I realized that I forgot something and went to a back closet to get it. There was a light where you pull the rope and it turns the light on. I turned the light on and the door was in front of me. I knew that what I needed was in that closet, but I just couldn't bring myself to open it. The dream later went into me being chased and trying to be killed by the party guests who turned out to be ghosts. But that's not the point.
The point is that after I had that dream, for some reason, I vividly remembered that closet and for years tried to look for it in every house that I went to untill I realized that it was only a dream.
Why did I think it was real? Has anyone else mistaken a dream for reality?
the dream probably felt real as you were having it. sometimes dreams are far more vivid than others, causing you to wake in a sweat or a fright. You didn't necessarily think it was real, but rather believe that it may come true or that it had some message or warning in it that your mind hangs on to, looking for the answer behind every closet door.
